Ashbrooke House School & Pre-School provides a warm, secure, family-like environment in which pupils are nurtured as individuals according to their abilities, personality and potential, encouraged to appreciate and understand our world and its people – and celebrate their own achievements and those of others. This is widely reflected in the excellent relationships that the children develop with their teachers and peers and the pride shown in the school by pupils and staff alike.
Year 6 pupils are strongly encouraged to participate in leadership activities and take the responsibilities bestowed on them very seriously. Prefects are appointed every year. Year 6 pupils mentor our younger children, helping to organise and manage sports days and other events.
The school works closely with several retirement homes and fellowships providing concerts and craft activities, enabling the children to work with people from the other end of the age spectrum.
Ashbrooke takes its responsibilities as a part of the wider community very seriously. Children enthusiastically undertake charity work. Our main charity is sponsoring children at an orphanage based in Nepal, but other work includes raising funds for other charities including Children in Need, Sports Relief, Macmillan and Comic Relief.
